Summer's a great time to really focus on developing
one
or two critical shots — or putting your whole game together.
Our junior clinics at Burroughs are a great place
to do that (and have some fun too.)

FRC’s summer 2010 tennis camps return to John Burroughs School – this year under the direction of Chris Ward, a tennis instructor at Frontenac Racquet Club.
Chris and his staff of prep and college players – some from recent JBS teams – will work with your kids on the vital skills they’ll need to develop into solid high-school players themselves.
That means:
- The right grip for the right shot.
- Getting the racquet back early for every stroke.
- Hitting every stroke the right way, the same way, every time.
- And controlling the ball, the whole time, from backswing to follow-through.
Things to know.
Camp is at John Burroughs School, 755 South Price Road, just north of Clayton Road.
Ages: 8-17.
Beginners welcome, as well as every other level; we’ll gear instruction to the needs of the group in any given week.
Schedule: Mon - Fri, 9:30 - noon.
If it rains: Call 314-963-3061 for an update. We’ll reschedule when we can, as soon as we can.
Contact: Call Jana Erb at 314-963-3061. Don’t call the school; the staff gets no information about outside groups – like us – who lease the facilities.
Facilities: The school has bathrooms, water, shade and a telephone we can use.
Bring: A small snack, plenty to drink, a towel, sun/shade accessories. Teens and advanced players should bring two racquets.
Private lessons: Chris is available. Ask about his schedule.
Stringing: 24-hour service, all summer. Just ask!

Summer programs are open to everyone - not just FRC members. So if your kids are dying to do something with friends from school, this is a perfect way to introduce them (and their families) to the FRC clinic philosophy.
