Karim, a P1 USPTA Certified teachng pro, has been at Frontenac since 2002. He runs Monday Night Singles and men's interclub. In the summers, he's the Director of Tennis at the Westborough Country Club and has been since 2005.
Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Karim earned Several National top 30 Singles Rankings as a junior - and a Junior World Ranking in Doubles.
He played his college tennis at Maryville University, where he played #1 Singles and Doubles and earned First Team All-Conference honors from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in 1999.
In 2006, the St. Louis District Tennis Association named Karim Adult Player of the Year after he finished 2005 as the #1 Singles Player in the St. Louis Area. In 2006, Karim and FRC's own Kevin Lackey were the Association's #1 Doubles Team.
He has also coached college tennis since 2000. As Maryville's Head Men's Tennis Coach from 2000-2008, he worked with students who earned both All-District and Academic All-American Honors. Now he's the Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at Fontbonne University.
Karim and his wife, Erica, have two children.
